playing with dad

last night the boys were out in the yard playing!
there is nothing better than watching dillon laugh and play with his dad!!!

today we had a lot of relaxing to do. pres was wore out from her shots and dillon was a little off too. went to a friends this morning to play! and this afternoon we did a lot of laying around. and a super quick trip to the park this afternoon.

preslee jae is 2 months!
12lbs 1oz 21.5" long (19% percentile for height and 89% for weight) she is growing like crazy!!!

she is sleeping like a dream.
she wakes up now once a night @ 4am. back to sleep.
my life is getting more and more sane each and everyday!
smiles constantly. loves to lay and watch dillon.
just so relaxed and perfect!!!

we have been in the yard playing this week alot! riley (the dog) is staying with us. g & g barker were in vegas. (did not make us all millionaires--shucks) if they did i could be blogging from our new beach house somehwere!!! :)
dillon just loves "ri ri" so much. lays on his. tries to ride him. chases him. makes him chase balls that he throws in the bushes or trees. he thinks that is the funniest thing! snuggles w.him in the house and always wants to feed him. i think that might be just so he can have a piece of dog food too! yum yum!

dillon and preslee are always together. dillon thinks she likes it when he "plays" with her. poor girl has been sat on, hit with a bat (not to hard) dillon tries and makes her kiss his owie on his foot, tickled and kissed too!
so glad he loves her. and she will come to love him too!!! :) the when she is a teenager that might change for the worst for awhile. every girl needs a cool older brother that she can be friends with. she got it!!!

a project we have been working on is the play room!
my dad built this shelving unit to match the play table he had built b.f.
i love love love it! i am now on the search for perfect baskets to fit. thinking orange and then adding orange to the wall where you see the black and white pictures.
oh how this has made the room so much better. what you dont see is all of the toys on the left. trying to figure out the best place for the kitchen, trikes, push carts, sit and spin and all of the other toys that are large.

dillon is in gymnastics this year. so tuesday mornings we head over to the MN flyers and play. so jumping and tumbling do not some super easy to a 19month old but we do have a good time. well most of the time.
yesterday we left early. d woke up @ 6am. gym @ 9am. by 9:30 he was a wreck. trying to wrangle him to listen and miss preslee we left. which was a good choice. came home and right to bed he went! oh well-next week will be better. we have a good time--lots of good friends in the class with us! so atleast we can do this together!

this weekend we went to the "pumpkin festival" in lake park. a perfect morning to get out and about. rode the train, saw some relatives of drew, craft show and a little flea market too.
it is amazing how many people who do not know us wanted to stop and talk to see and ask about the kids and the dog. so funny!

last week we met good friends b and h in fargo for the day.
we played @ dino land, ate lunch, shopped and walked!!! the boys are super cute together. so funny how the age difference in them gets less and less as they grow.

we got to go to mnpls to see my sister and her family last weekend. sat night we had a bonfire and played outside! sunday drew and rich went to the twins game. mandy and i and the 5 kids stayed home and played and hung out. thanks!
this past weekend we had a fun night here @ home with some friends. much needed. kids to bed. and cards and catch phrase were on the agenda! i have not laughed that much in a long time! thanks p's for coming! xoxoxoxo (it was so like the old days)

this is by far one of my favorite jacks we have ever done.
loved the layout and loved getting back in to my room--relaxing and finally getting something on paper! 3 pages were done! that is all i have done in months! oh i loved it! can not wait to get back in there to get all of the ideas out of my head and on paper!

our life. today, tomorrow and yesterday has been crazy, exciting and super tiring! but we are all getting through it.

drew has been super busy this week with work and having a booth @ big iron out in west fargo. we have not seen him much--we are exciting to have life back to normal today.
what has been going on.
we even went in to big iron to see him. wish we would have went earlier so dillon could have spent more time in the tractors. next year! i will have two climbing and pretending to drive!

my favorite fall shows have started----and i am so EXCITED! gossip girl, 90210, ANTM, greys (next week maybe?) and all of the others too.

other EXCITING news----my super cute sister in law Jenn is engaged to a wonderful guy mike! we have been waiting and waiting (patiently/kind of) for this to happen! well now it has happened and we are so EXCITED to see them soon and hear all of the plans as they unfold! we love you both and i can not wait to have two more wonderful people join the family. we love you jenn, mike and jack! they also bought a house a couple of miles from us. so we will get to see them more and more as they are moving in slowly as they get the upstairs all redone! it wont be long and dillon can ride his bike over to bug jack all day!!!!! (he did get a bike helmet--now we just need to get a bike and learn to ride)


we have been playing alot. open gym, library time, the pool, the parks and fall walks! and of course time @ home in the play room! and making a disaster of the living room each and everyday!

labor day weekend! my parents came to visit. that was fun to have them come stay. xoxoxo
sat my girlfriend megan and her daughter and me and the kids went to the flea market. us two should never shop together. but we do! we spent three hours--and we had so much fun! we both got some great much needed items that we could not live w.o
we looked crazy trying to leave @ the end with our purchases that we needed to carry out with my double stroller, her stroller and baskets and suitcases and other jUnk! but we had so much fun! memorial day next year---can not wait!
the next day i went back with my parents (for another 3 hours) and somehow found so many more things that were NEEDED! drew is super excited about what i have in the garage!
it will be put to use @ some point!

ordered these super cute pants and can not wait to get them in the mail.
if you have not seen MATILDA JANE--you must! they sell @ trunk shows (online in the off season) i can not wait for miss preslee to be a bit bigger so we can start her collection.


i have been working (trying to find time to work i should say) and making some new items @ pLum. it has been fun adding some new baby items.
many more to come... i found some new materials--but now i have to put them to use!

now i better put my time to better use and get working!

long overdue.

i have a way to many pictures to post. way to many things to say.
i started this blog as more of a journal for myself. to keep track of our life---to look back and see what we were doing and what i was thinking/feeling and hopefully laugh as i look back. lately i have been more of a picture uploaded and that is it!
i need to get back to jotting all the other things down that i think.feel and do not want to forget!
so i will start doing that again just not today.

so today as i am being mother of the year and am holding pres as we watch
housewives of NJ reunion i type. i did not even watch this show but i now that them all on the tivo to watch when i get my much loved free time.
oh how this reunion is crazy. fighting, screaming and total chaos! who did what and who didn't do that! they are all a little nuts.

oh how i love miss pres and her dimples!

we went on a walk the other day and on our way home we stopped @ the gas station. put air in our tires and got some push ups! thought this was maybe a good selection b.c d would not get too dirty. boy was i wrong. he was nothing but a disaster when we got home. but he thought it was yummie and that is all that really matters. (in case you were wondering the shirt came clean in the wash)

photobooth on mac has been fun! kind of scares dillon sometimes but we have a laugh!

i am so super lucky to have such a great family. i take it for granted. i admit it. and i know i should not. they are amazing people and i love them.
drew and i both have great parents. who would do anything for us and for our kids. not everyone has that! thank you for being so wonderful to us and loving our children so much!

(random thoughts i know)

we had a girls day and night @ the lake this past week. my mom/aunt (sisters) and us girls all went to the cabin with the kids! we had so much fun. but we laughed b.cwe did not get to much time to chat with all of the kids running in each and every direction! so glad we made time to get together and do this! can not wait for next year already! maybe if there are no infants/toddlers we can handle another night!!! :) maybe? i barely took pictures when everyone was there! since there was so much going on. but more to come when we all share pics!
the water @ the cabin is up about 2 feet. so the beautiful sand beach is something of the past. hoping the water goes down so next year the sand is back. so there were no sandcastles this time but praying we will see it again soon.

these are so funny to me. a tradition growing up @ the cabin was that each and every year we would line up on the dock youngest to oldest and take the PICTURE! so mandy and i thought that we should start it again with our kids. well below is how that went. not long after this we all packed up and had some much needed naps! well atleast the kids got them.
a tradition is a tradition and wether or not it is fun or easy it is a good memory
and must be done!
wish we could have the other grandkids there to make this complete.



the next day i left with my girlfriends on a overnight on leech lake to mo's family's cabin.
we had a such a good time together. so many laughs, memories and great pictures to prove it!




this is megan and i. and not long after megan thought i needed to go under. and she did not stop until that happened! you are too funny and thanks for the dunk! i for sure needed that!

drew had his first night @ home with both kids! he had a great time. and it went perfectly but he was ready for a nap when i got home. he the kids and all of the other husbands and kids whose moms were gone with us got together for supper. they said it was a bit chaotic but had fun!

labor day weekend is already here.
our beach.resort town is about to go back to normal.
it is the best and worst thing about living here. i love driving down by the detroit beach and seeing all of the people but oh how we love it here when it is less crowed every night @ Zorbaz and anywhere else we go.
last weekend of the much loved flea market too. i might have to go all three days to make sure i do not miss anything! i will miss going there this fall.

this morning some of my girlfriends and i took all the kids to the holiday inn for some swimming.
the kids always give us a run for our money and dillon for sure comes home super tired and ready for a nap. i even got a little one in!
